Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Ouarzazate
Upon arrival in Ouarzazate, meet your tour team for a welcome briefing and motorcycle handover. Take time to explore the city, known as the “Hollywood of Morocco,” visit the famous Taourirt Kasbah, or relax at your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in a charming riad.
Day 2: Ouarzazate – Fint Oasis – Agdz
The adventure begins with a scenic ride to the lush Fint Oasis, hidden amidst arid mountains. After a short break, continue south towards Agdz via winding roads across the Anti-Atlas. Discover the first palm groves of the Draa Valley and visit the impressive Kasbah Tamnougalt. Overnight in a traditional guesthouse surrounded by palm trees.
Day 3: Agdz – Nkob – Tazarine – Zagora
Today’s ride leads through dramatic desert landscapes and small Berber villages like Nkob and Tazarine. Ride across stone deserts and narrow valleys, with opportunities to meet local artisans and nomadic families. In the afternoon, arrive in Zagora, the “last town” before the vast Sahara. Dinner and overnight at a comfortable lodge.
Day 4: Zagora – Mhamid – Chegaga Dunes
Ride south towards Mhamid, the gateway to the Sahara. From here, the asphalt ends and the real desert adventure begins. Tackle sandy trails, dry riverbeds, and rocky plains on your way to the impressive Chegaga dunes, Morocco’s largest and wildest dune fields. Settle into your desert camp for an unforgettable evening under the stars with traditional music and dinner.
Day 5: Chegaga – Lake Iriki – Foum Zguid – Taznakht
After a desert sunrise and breakfast at camp, set off across Lake Iriki’s vast dry basin. Ride through wide, open desert spaces until reaching the town of Foum Zguid. After a break, continue along winding mountain roads to Taznakht, known for its handmade Berber carpets. Overnight stay in a cozy guesthouse.
Day 6: Taznakht – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate
On the final day, ride north towards the iconic Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its ancient architecture and cinematic history. After visiting the ksar, ride back to Ouarzazate, where your incredible Sahara motorcycle adventure concludes. Departure assistance provided for your onward journey.
