6 days motorcycle From Casablanca to desert
Day 1: Casablanca → Marrakech
Begin your Moroccan motorcycle journey by heading south from Casablanca to Marrakech. The highway gives way to small towns and open landscapes as you get familiar with the rhythm of the road. Arrive in Marrakech with time to explore the medina, visit Jemaa el-Fnaa square, or relax with mint tea in a rooftop café.
Day 2: Marrakech → Aït Benhaddou (190 km)
Start your climb into the High Atlas Mountains via the thrilling Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260m), offering hairpin turns and epic views. Descend into the Ounila Valley to reach Aït Benhaddou, Morocco’s most famous ksar. This UNESCO site has appeared in countless films and offers the perfect blend of history and desert charm.
Day 3: Ouarzazate → Agdz → Zagora (165 km)
Ride south through the lunar-like landscapes of Ouarzazate toward the lush Draa Valley. Palm groves and ancient mud villages line the route to Zagora, a gateway to the deep desert. This is classic Saharan terrain, where nomadic culture and desert silence rule.
Day 4: Zagora → Tafraout Sidi Ali → Merzouga (290 km)
Today’s ride is one of the wildest and most remote. Travel through arid plains, desert hamlets, and the off-the-beaten-path village of Tafraout Sidi Ali. You’ll arrive at Merzouga, at the foot of the towering Erg Chebbi dunes. Enjoy a camel ride at sunset and settle into your desert camp or kasbah for a magical night under the stars.
Day 5: Merzouga → Todra Gorges → Dades Gorges (270 km)
After a desert sunrise, head west toward the dramatic Todra Gorge, where massive rock walls rise vertically beside the road. Continue along the legendary “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs” to reach the winding canyon roads of the Dades Valley—some of the most exciting riding in Morocco.
Day 6: Dades → Kelaat M’Gouna → Skoura → Ouarzazate → Marrakech (320 km)
The final day is a scenic ride through the Valley of Roses (Kelaat M’Gouna), known for its fragrant rose products and annual festival. Pass through Skoura’s oasis of kasbahs and retrace your way through Ouarzazate and over the High Atlas back to Marrakech. Celebrate the end of your unforgettable desert-to-mountain journey with a well-earned farewell dinner.
